Apostille Translations and Legalized Translations

An Apostille translation comes with a certificate of authenticity that confirms the origin of the document. You need an Apostille translation if both the country that originally issued the document and the company receiving the document were party to the Hague Convention of 1961.

If one country involved was not a member of the Hague Convention, legalized translation services are needed. Legalized translations provide a similar letter of authenticity, accepted among non-Apostille countries.

Here are some of the documents that require Apostille or legalized translation services:

  • Academic Credentials

  • Articles of Incorporation

  • Birth Certificates

  • Certificates of Foreign Government

  • Adoption Paperwork

  • Commercial Invoices

  • Police Reports

  • Corporate Documents to be Used Overseas

  • Marriage Licenses

  • Distributorship Agreements

  • Power of Attorney

  • FDA and USDA Documents

  • Teaching Credentials

  • Patents
