Exploring Phu Quoc, Vietnam: A Travel Experience
Vietnam had been on my travel bucket list for a while, and I finally got the chance to visit this beautiful country! I booked a flight with VietJet Air from Bangkok to Phu Quoc, a stunning island known for its pristine beaches, vibrant culture, and thrilling attractions. My fellow travelers took care of arranging our tour guide, so I simply went along for the adventure—and what an adventure it was!
Arrival at Chùa Hò Quốc Temple
Our first stop was Chùa Hò Quốc Temple, a breathtaking Buddhist temple overlooking the ocean. Although there was some minor construction happening, the majority of the temple was stunning, featuring intricate statues and beautifully designed temple buildings. The serene atmosphere and spiritual ambiance made it a peaceful start to our journey.
Thrills at Sun World Hon Thom & The Sky Cable Car
Next, we headed to Sun World Hon Thom, taking the famous Sky Cable Car to reach the resort. The ride was incredible as it passed over multiple islands, offering panoramic views of the sea and lush landscapes. Once we arrived, I dared to try the roller coaster—and let me tell you, it was both exhilarating and terrifying! The rush of adrenaline, mixed with the fear of falling and the feeling of my stomach dropping, made it a ride I won’t forget anytime soon.
A Slice of Italy: Sunset Town
One of the most fascinating parts of Phu Quoc was Sunset Town, which looked like a little piece of Italy in Vietnam. The architecture was heavily inspired by Italian design, and they even had a replica of the Piazza del Colosseo! It was a surreal experience walking through this town that transported me to Europe while still being in Southeast Asia.
Exploring Chợ Đêm Phú Quốc (Phu Quoc Night Market)
As the sun set, we made our way to Chợ Đêm Phú Quốc, the famous night market. The atmosphere was lively, with the scent of street food filling the air. We sampled a variety of local delicacies and enjoyed a delicious dinner at one of the many food stalls before finally heading to our hotel.
Stay at Vinholidays Fiesta Phu Quoc
We checked into Vinholidays Fiesta Phu Quoc, a beautiful and well-equipped hotel. Our room was comfortable, clean, and stocked with all the essential amenities, including shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and shower soap. Best of all, our room had a stunning pool view, which made for a relaxing and picturesque stay. In the morning, we enjoyed a complimentary breakfast at the hotel, which was a perfect way to start the day.

A Taste of Venice: Venice Phu Quoc & Grand World Phu Quoc
Our next stops were Venice Phu Quoc and Grand World Phu Quoc, both of which were designed to resemble Venice, Italy. From charming canals to gondolas, the resemblance was uncanny! It was fascinating to see how they recreated such an iconic European destination right in the heart of Vietnam.
A Magical Adventure at VinWonders
One of the highlights of my trip was visiting VinWonders, a theme park that felt like a Vietnamese version of Disneyland. We tried every ride possible, and I had an absolute blast! It was a day filled with laughter, excitement, and bonding with my fellow travelers.
A Relaxing Evening & Water Show at Venice Phu Quoc
After returning to the hotel and taking a dip in the pool, we had dinner at Venice Phu Quoc and waited for the mesmerizing water show, which started at 9 PM. While waiting, I treated myself to a refreshing mango smoothie—it was delicious and the perfect way to unwind after a day of adventure.
Final Stops: Dinh Càu Temple & Quốc An Pearl
On our last day, we visited Dinh Càu Temple, a small but significant cultural site offering beautiful coastal views. Before heading back, we made a stop at Quốc An Pearl, where I picked up some souvenirs to remember this amazing trip.

My trip to Phu Quoc was filled with unforgettable experiences, from thrilling rides to cultural discoveries and mouthwatering food.
